The day
Cold mornings on the way to work, then heated rooms, then another walk outdoors. Winter working days switch temperature more than once.
The problem
Heavy outerwear solves the street, not the desk. Thin denim solves the office, not the platform. Stacking layers often looks bulky and restricts movement.
The choice
We put a substantial fleece lining inside a composed denim exterior — warmth where the cold hits the body, with an outer appearance that still reads as work trousers. The decision was balance: cold-commute protection without turning the pair into a ski pant.
What changed
This approach sits in our thermal line (e.g. The Thermal Jean / Athletic Thermal direction): one pair for the cold working day, instead of constantly adding and removing layers.
What we learn next
