The day
A summer commute still ends in a meeting. You need trousers that stay composed at work, without trapping heat on the way there.
The problem
Many “summer trousers” either feel technical and out of place in an office, or look right but feel heavy after an hour outdoors.
The choice
We chose a ramie-cotton blend developed with our mill partner — not a marketing fabric name as the story. Ramie’s fibre structure supports a lighter, airier feel; cotton keeps a familiar hand and enough structure for a clean line. The decision was: cool enough for the journey, still work-ready when you arrive.
What changed
In product, this shows up as a lighter-feeling chino for hot days — used on The Travel Chino and The Cropped Chino — without turning the pair into sportswear.
What we learn next
We listen to wear notes on breathability and crease behaviour across a full working day. When feedback changes a fabric or construction choice, we will publish what we changed — not a stream of raw customer suggestions.
